SPOCK: Perhaps, Mister Boma.

SCOTT: A distress signal? It’s like sending up a flare. Mister Spock, that was a good gamble. Perhaps it was worth it.

MCCOY: It may be the last action you’ll ever take, Mister Spock, but it was all human.

SPOCK: Totally illogical. There was no chance.

MCCOY: That’s exactly what I mean.

Initial Comparisons of the Galileos: 1992 vs 2026

How does the new Galileo compare to the original? Let’s take a look based off the recently released images and descriptions of the new Galileo. Obviously, the new Galileo eliminates the pigtail power cord of the 90’s for batteries. The 1992 Galileo featured lighting effects in the forward windows, while the 2026 version appears to forgo lights. Both ornaments include Spock’s iconic holiday message. Yay!!! The 2026 will have additional audio from the TOS episode. Where the 2026 shuttlecraft truly stands apart is in its sculpt, which is far more accurate. Yet it appears the paint scheme, on the underside and warp drive nacelles, reflects a more screen accurate gray tone on the 1992 shuttlecraft, while the 2026 Galileo has a more uniform color throughout.

2026 Ornaments Announced!

Shuttlecraft Galileo NCC-1701/7, Retail: $42.99. Available in July.

This is the ornament I am most excited for in 2026. It features a more accurate sculpt than the 1992 Galileo, now paired with episode audio and the original Leonard Nimoy Galileo dialogue that many of us can recite by heart. Let’s introduce a whole new generation to “Shuttlecraft to Enterprise. Shuttlecraft to Enterprise. Spock here. Happy holidays. Live long and prosper.”

U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-G, Retail: $42.99. Available in July.

The 2026 metal U.S.S. Enterprise G from Star Trek: Picard follows in the footsteps of 2018’s metal U.S.S. Enterprise. Here’s hoping it is not the last addition to the metal fleet.

U.S.S. Cerritos, Retail: $33.99. Available in July.

Fans have been clamoring for the U.S.S. Cerritos since it first appeared on Star Trek: Lower Decks six years ago. This marks the first ship from the animated series, but the third overall ornament release. The line previously included 2023’s Badgey two pack and 2025’s Boimler and Mariner.

Nurse Christine Chapel, Retail $23.99. Available in October.

Majel Barrett’s Christine Chapel was never immortalized as an ornament, but Jess Bush’s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds version will debut in 2026. Women of Trek have seen strong representation in recent years from Hallmark, with releases including 2024 Beverly Crusher, 2025 Hologram Janeway, 2025 Guinan, 2025 Beckett Mariner, and 2025 Seven of Nine.

“Space Serpent Attack!”, Retail $36.99. Available in October.

And check this one out! A 3-D scene inspired by the infamous 1968 AMT “Mr. Spock” model kit. It recreates Spock in his rocky alien diorama, phaser in hand, facing off against the three headed creature.
