It is still announcement day for the 2021 Hallmark Star Trek Event exclusive ornament and we have a contradiction in pricing. Corporate and PopMinded have pricing at $35 while the main order page has the Keepsake listed at $40 (See below for screen shots).
Star Trek™ HMS Bounty Klingon™ Bird-of-Prey Metal Ornament
Product Details
Early script drafts of “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock” used Romulans in their classic Bird-of-Prey warship as the film’s antagonists. When later drafts swapped Klingons for Romulans, the ship’s designation as a Bird-of-Prey remained and the craft was redesigned to reflect Klingon technology. Put the fearsome-looking ship on display with this meticulously detailed Christmas tree ornament. PopMinded event exclusive—one of just 3,750 issued.
Designed by Jake Angell, this metal Keepsake Ornament comes pre-packaged in a box for easy gift giving, preservation and storage. Dated 2021 in copyright.
PopMinded™ event exclusive ornament and one of only 3,750 issued. Limited availability while supplies last, not available in stores.
Originally created for 2021 San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic Con and select events.
Metal Christmas tree ornament measures 4.5″ W x 0.58″ H x 2.89″ D.
Early script drafts of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock used Romulan in their classic Bird-of-Prey warship as the film’s antagonists. When later drafts swapped Klingons for Romulans, the ship’s designation as a Bird-of-Prey remained and the craft was redesigned to reflect Klingon technology. The fearsome-looking ship not only became popular with fans but also an iconic element of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
Klingon Bird-of-Prey Keepsake Ornament celebrates the 35th anniversary of the theatrical release of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home™ in 1986. This metal Keepsake Ornament features the HMS Bounty paint stylings as seen in the film. The ornament is priced at $35 with a total production run of 3,750.

Creating a safe, diverse, an accepting space for our community with an unforgettable experience for everyone has always been at the center of everything we do. We have approached our Health and Safety guidelines for our shows with the very same mindset. It’s with much optimism and enthusiasm that we look forward to welcoming you back to convention centers around the country, to celebrate the things we all love together.
We will be running all our shows with reduced capacity. With our new safety precautions in place, attendance and badges will be very limited so that we can ensure physical distancing. We’re working closely with each convention center to determine how many people are permitted in the building every day and at a given time.
We are requiring approved face coverings for all individuals attending our events, including our exhibitors and staff. They must be worn at all times within our venues. For more information, you can visit the FAQ pages on each of our show websites.
Temperature screening upon entry will be required to enter our events. Anyone with an elevated temperature will not be permitted to enter the event.
We will have increased sanitization and cleaning with enforced physical distancing throughout the event.
We have also adopted a firm no handshakes, no high-fives, no hugs policy. We’re all going to have to get very smooth and cool-looking at either the elbow bump or air high-fives. Please start practicing now.
The convention is scheduled for October 7-10, 2021 at the Javits Center.
As part of the First Contact Day (April 5) festivities it was announced that in 2022 there will be a Star Trek: Mission Chicago event. This convention is the only officially licensed Star Trek event in the U.S. by CBS now that Star Trek Las Vegas has been replaced with The 55-Year Mission Tour in Las Vegas. ReedPop, who is putting on Mission Chicago, was behind events like New York Comic Con, MCM Comic Con London, Star Wars Celebration and Star Trek: Mission New York. It is expected that annual Missions in rotating cities will follow.
Newsfeed: We invite you to Star Trek: Mission Chicago– the ultimate Star Trek fan experience for all ages! Boldly explore the past, present and future of the celebrated franchise while embracing the ideals of a diverse and inclusive future that remains at the center of one of the most iconic brands of all time. Enjoy three full days of interactive exhibits, major announcements, exclusive merchandise, celebrity guests, and more from the ever-evolving Star Trek universe.
Star Trek: Mission Chicago is coming to McCormick Place in Chicago IL, April 8th to April 10th 2022.
In light of this announcement it seems only fitting to revisit 2016’s Star Trek: Mission New York which took place during Star Trek’s 50th Anniversary. To celebrate the anniversary, Hallmark displayed all 81 Star Trek ornaments that had been released up to that time (actually 80, “To Boldly Go” was still just a cardboard image).
Unfortunately, most of the photos of the Star Trek display were taken from a distance.
The gallery, in the form of a transporter chamber, stood beside Hallmark’s event booth. It was comprised of seven tall, vertical windows each holding a dozen or so ornaments.
Happily, one Star Trek fan posted a YouTube video of the ornaments which you can view at the bottom of this page. Below are the best screen caps I could get from IoMGeek’s September 3, 2016 video. Let me know if anyone has any photos of Hallmark’s ornament gallery they would like to share.

Hallmark: “In light of the uncertainty related to the pandemic, we have decided not to host an in-person KOC Convention in Kansas City in 2021.”
We sit here in December and still have no official announcement of the 2021 Hallmark Star Trek ornaments. The ornament previews usually are presented at the fan conventions beginning in July but COVID-19 has barreled its way into everyone’s lives disrupting everything.
The current plan is to have all of the Star Trek Storytellers releases from 2020 and 2021 to be available through 2022 until the complete line has been released.
It now comes as no surprise that 2020’s last convention has been cancelled due to COVID-19. As Kevin Dilmore said last month the Vegas convention was 2020’s most likely remaining event to show the 2021 Hallmark Star Trek ornament previews. Kevin, if you’re reading, we would like to offer this site as a vehicle to announce Hallmark’s 2021 Star Trek ornaments.
Here is Creation Entertainment’s official announcement:
During this pandemic crisis, Creation Entertainment remains steadfast in keeping the health and safety of our attendees, celebrities and staff as our top priority. While we had hoped to present our Official Star Trek Convention on December 9-13, 2020, due to ongoing local, federal and international protocols, we are unable to do so.
We will be next returning again to our traditional time of year and will be back in Vegas on a new date: August 11-15, 2021 at the Rio All-Suites Resort Hotel and Casino, and its beautiful state-of-the-art convention center!
The year 2021 marks the 50th Anniversary of Creation Entertainment, the 55th Anniversary of Star Trek, the 20th Anniversary of our convention in Las Vegas and Gene Roddenberry’s 100th birthday year. It’s the perfect time to celebrate and no city is better than Las Vegas to do just that!
We are renaming the convention “Creation Entertainment Presents The 55-Year Mission Tour”. We’ll have over 100 celebrity guests as usual, multiple tracks of non-stop programming, contests, music, cosplay and surprises, plus partying galore. We’ll immerse our attendees into the positive and loving atmosphere with thousands of other fans, as we all celebrate Gene Roddenberry’s legacy. CBS is not an official partner of this event.
If you wish to hold your same reserved seat or general admission, you do not need to do anything. Your tickets and same seating will be transferred to the new 2021 date and updated tickets will be sent to you via the email address you used at the time of purchase within a few weeks. Your 2020 ticket will no longer be valid.
Hallmark’s Keepsake Ornament Debut arrives tomorrow and with it is 2020’s final Star Trek offering. Uhura is the latest ornament to join the Star Trek Storyteller family and will interact with any or all of the previous three Storyteller ornaments released in July. Look for Spock, Bones, Scotty and Chekov over the next two years.
Trapped in an angry universe not her own, Lieutenant Uhura tries her best to disguise from the I.S.S. Enterprise crew that she does not belong—unlike this Christmas ornament that certainly belongs on your tree. Plug the ornament into Hallmark’s Keepsake Power Cord (sold separately) for constant illumination, then press the button to start a sound and light show based on the classic original Star Trek series episode “Mirror, Mirror.” Connect all of the Star Trek Storytellers ornaments—Captain James T. Kirk, Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu and Lieutenant Nyota Uhura—and the U.S.S. Enterprise Tree Topper (each sold separately) to unlock additional interactive performances.
Storytellers Interactive Light and Sound Christmas tree ornament. Connect this ornament to Hallmark’s Keepsake Power Cord (sold separately) to see the continuous light effect. Press the button to watch it perform an exciting scene from the classic original Star Trek series episode “Mirror, Mirror.” No batteries necessary.
This artist crafted Keepsake Ornament comes pre-packaged in a box for easy gift giving, preservation and storage. Dated 2020 in copyright.
Add other Star Trek Mirror, Mirror Collection Storytellers ornaments (each sold separately) to unlock larger, amazingly interactive performances.
Plastic Christmas tree ornament is lead-free and measures 1.59″ W x 4.4″ H x 1.21″ D.
We normally get sneak peeks of Hallmark’s future ornaments in mid-July at San Diego Comic Con but like just about everything in 2020 it was cancelled.
In recent years September 8th, the anniversary of Star Trek’s television debut, has become Star Trek’s version of Star Wars’ May the Fourth celebration.
Star Trek Day seems to be a perfect opportunity for Hallmark to sneak preview the 2021 Hallmark Star Trek ornaments. Stay tuned!
“Hey NYCC fans, check out this message from our team regarding the status of New York Comic Con 2020. While we’d much rather be giving you an update on badges going on sale, it likely comes as no surprise that NYCC 2020’s physical event will not be able to run as intended. This is one of the hardest announcements we’ve ever had to make, and we miss you all so very much: NYCC20.com/Letter
But we still can’t wait to hang out with you online for New York Comic Con’s Metaverse, Oct 8-11. We’re partnering with YouTube to bring to life four days of incredible content. Stay tuned to FindTheMetaverse.com and subscribe to YouTube.com/NYCC for updates.”

Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Club Members Online Event
Date: To Be Announced
Nickelodeon’s new Star Trek series has a title and it is Star Trek: Prodigy. It was announced at today’s Star Trek Universe Virtual Panel at comic-con@home.
Kevin Dilmore has announced that the 2020 Hallmark Star Trek Storyteller ornaments will be available until the entire series has been produced. This means Kirk, Sulu, Uhura and the Enterprise tree topper will be available to purchase in 2021 and 2022.
We still have Spock, McCoy, Scotty and Chekov to be released over the next two years. Although there hasn’t been any official announcement, it is likely we will see Spock and Scotty in 2021 and McCoy and Chekov in the final year.
Whichever ornaments are released next year they will be available in both 2021 and 2022. There is still no word if the 2021-2022 Star Trek releases will be exclusively Storytellers or if we will see other Star Trek ornaments. With all the new Star Trek series that have and will be coming out it is hard to imagine we won’t see something from Picard or Lower Decks.
There will be an interactive Exhibit Hall today for the ComicCon@Home which will allow you to vvisit and purchase merchandise from participating exhibitors.
PopMinded by Hallmark will be in Booth #1505 beginning today, July 22nd, at 9:00am P.S.T./12:00pm E.S.T.
To purchase the exclusives during the Comic-Con@home virtual event July 22-26, find our event page on the Comic-Con@home website starting at 9am PST Wednesday July 22. Click on any of the exclusive products shown, then in the pop-up window, click on the link titled ‘visit website’ to be taken to a special page on PopMinded.com for purchasing.
In this week’s Positively Trek, Dan and Bruce are joined by veteran Star Trek authors Dayton Ward and Kevin Dilmore. We talk about the Lower Decks trailer, as well as an in-depth discussion about that dreaded C-word when it comes to Star Trek: Canon! Dayton’s role as the “Keeper of Canon” for CBS’s Star Trek projects gives him a unique perspective on this age-old question that continues to rear its ugly head within the fandom.
We also talk with Kevin Dilmore about this year’s truly unique and groundbreaking Star Trek Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments!
