2020 Star Trek Las Vegas Moves to December

Official Announcement:

IMPORTANT UPDATE: June 5, 2020

The Official Star Trek Las Vegas Convention Moving to NEW DATE and VENUE!
Admission Passes and Tickets Have Been Temporarily Taken Off Sale But Will Be Back Soon!

During these challenging times, the safety of our Star Trek convention attendees, celebrities and staff is the utmost importance to us. We have continued to monitor the local, federal and international protocols concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, and while we had hoped that our Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas could take place in August, due to the unprecedented circumstances, we must postpone and move to a new venue.

The 19th Annual Star Trek Convention’s NEW DATE is now December 9-13, 2020 and is beaming into Caesars Forum Conference Center Las Vegas, the brand-new state of the art, $375 million facility located in the heart of the famed Las Vegas Strip! Caesars Forum Conference Center features direct access to our new host hotel, the newly renovated Harrah’s Las Vegas!

William Shatner, Walter Koenig, Kelsey Grammer and more guests have confirmed the new date, and we are currently working on more confirmations. Please check the website for updates!

If you wish to hold your same seat or general admission, as well as a la carte autograph and photo op tickets, you do not need to do anything. Your tickets and same seating will be transferred to the new date and updated tickets will be sent to you via the email address you used at the time of purchase within a few weeks. Your original ticket will no longer be valid.

Attendees must cancel their hotel reservations at this time. We will have revised booking links shortly so you can re-book your hotel reservations for the new date.

As for flight cancellations, many air carriers have amended their policies and procedures during this health crisis to accommodate customers. Please contact your airlines directly for information.

If you’d like a refund for the Star Trek Vegas Convention, please contact customer.service@creationent.com. The deadline for refund requests for the convention is June 19, 2020 (please include your invoice number and the convention name/city in your email).  If you do not request a refund by the deadline, your admission passes and a la carte photo op and autograph tickets will be transferred to the new date. Refunds will begin to be processed after the deadline date. Please allow up to 8 weeks from the deadline date for your request to be processed.

We appreciate your patience and continued support and look forward to seeing everyone in December!

Until we can all safely meet to celebrate all things Star Trek,
Your friends at Creation Entertainment

Star Trek Las Vegas Still Scheduled for August

Even with the COVID-19 virus making its 2020 squeeze on the world, Star Trek Las Vegas still has plans on proceeding.  Creation Entertainment is getting pushback from fans as they continue to sell tickets for the August event.

Official announcement:

Dear fellow Star Trek fans:

We hope you have been staying safe and healthy during this challenging time. While Creation has been social distancing as a team, we are still working hard to make the upcoming Official Star Trek Convention a grand celebration of Gene Roddenberry’s legacy for a hopeful future.  The event is set for August 5-9, 2020 at The Rio All-Suites Resort and Casino in fabulous Las Vegas.

As we currently have 71 Star Trek celebrities attending, we are on our way to getting over 100 stars and will feature a non-stop five days of fun. Our top-tiered Gold Convention Admission Packages, the most upscale way to attend the entire convention, are nearly sold out and will be removed from sale by Monday, April 27.

We also only have a few Captain’s Chair Admission Packages still available and today we have put on sale Copper Convention Packages and General Admission Convention Packages. Preferred (Reserved) Single Day and General Admission Single Day Tickets will be coming soon.

As something to look forward to this summer, we can’t wait to spend another truly intergalactic time in Vegas!

2020 San Diego Comic-Con Cancelled

For the first time in its 50-year history San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC), the organizers behind the annual pop culture celebration, announced today with deep regret that there will be no Comic-Con in 2020. The event will instead return to the San Diego Convention Center from July 22-25, 2021.

“Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures and while we are saddened to take this action, we know it is the right decision,” said David Glanzer, spokesperson for the organization. “We eagerly look forward to the time when we can all meet again and share in the community we all love and enjoy.”

We will continue to update where and if there will be availability of the Event Exclusive 2020 Tribble ornament.

2020 San Diego Comic-Con Still On

As of now, the 2020 San Diego Comic-Con, scheduled for a July, has not been cancelled. For anyone who had plans to go it is a certainty that it will be cancelled this year. The convention has always been a hot bed for “the funk”. Anytime you get that many people together in such a tight space it is inevitable that everyone catches everything.

Thinking this year’s convention is still a possibility is foolish. It is almost certain that next year’s SDCC will also be cancelled unless a vaccine has been found by then. We are living in different times.

Our thoughts are with everyone and their families across the globe. Stay safe!

2019 Hallmark Star Trek Ornaments Revealed

IMG_5347

The Las Vegas Star Trek convention has brought us previews of 2019’s ornaments. These first images are courtesy of trekcore.com’s twitter feed.

First off is a Lt. Saru and Michael Burnham ornament.  The ornament captures a rather generic scene of the pair.

IMG_6093

The second ornament is an Original Series classic. The Tribble will likely prove to be Hallmark’s ornament with the highest profit margin.

IMG_6094

Lastly, we have yet another Enterprise ornament. 2019 brings us the Enterprise refit from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

2018 Star Trek Vegas Convention Set to Begin

IMG_5347

This year’s Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas is set to begin in two days (August 1, 2018). This will be the one of two only more chances to pick up Hallmark Star Trek items at conventions this year.

IMG_5342There are two Star Trek exclusives from Hallmark this year. Look for Lt. Arex and Lt. M’Ress from Star Trek: The Animated Series. This duo is sold as set of two.

IMG_5343The Gorn joins four Original Series characters and four Next Generation characters in the itty bitty universe.

Also look for a sneak preview of 2019 Hallmark Star Trek ornaments to be revealed.  Although an official announcement of a preview hasn’t been made by Hallmark, the 2018 ornaments were previewed last year at this same convention.

New Packaging for Convention Exclusives

New Hallmark packaging was revealed at the 2018 San Diego Comic Con. The all black packaging seems to be consistent among all the themed Hallmark convention ornaments.  The sides of the boxes has many Star Trek nods that are worth checking out below.

A ticketing system for fans buying PopMinded event exclusives will begin at this year’s Comic-Con International. Tickets will be distributed for daily sales on a first-come basis when the show opens at Booth 2913-K, where sales will be conducted. Sales of most exclusive products will be reserved for ticketholders during the first three hours of each day of the convention, then will open up for all. PopMinded’s longstanding policies regarding exclusives sales including purchase caps, daily allocation limits and Sunday exhibitor sales will remain in effect. This ticketing system is intended to relieve attendees from long wait times and line caps while accommodating facility fire codes. More information on our ticketing system will be available at Booth 2913-K.
