Additional information:
Utilized by the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, the handheld Starfleet Tricorder device proved vital for gathering, recording and analyzing data, particularly while exploring strange, new worlds. This must-have Christmas tree ornament lights up and plays authentic phrases from the original Star Trek™ series.  Features lights and sound.
Pros: Wonderful detail all around, from the sculpted buttons to the textured casing. A great addition to the line of Trek gadgets and gear.
Cons: It’s disappointing that the Tricorder door is fixed open and close. The strap is disproportionately short, though that’s understandable at this scale. Why not eliminate the hook and just hang from the strap.

Is an ornament without an eye for the hook still an ornament? Well, no, not according to the people who look at these things for contractual and tax purposes. I get the reasoning that it could be hung by the strap but sometimes it’s not that easy; we don’t want it being mistaken for a toy or a non-ornament collectible, which would require different licensing agreements. #TheMoreYouKnow

Myself, I think it looks kinda weird hanging by the strap. 🙂
