Here it is! The 2018 Hallmark Dream Book has been released online and we got some surprises!

We had already known about three ornaments that were on the agenda, The Naked Time, U.S.S. Discovery, and the Tricorder. The Dream Book reveals a new metal NCC-1701 U.S.S. Enterprise. The ornament is listed as a premium ornament and will retail for $39.99.

But that isn’t the biggest news for 2018. Hallmark will celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Star Trek: The Animated Series with the first ornaments honoring the series. Last year we noted the TAS’s anniversary as a possibility for a new ornament. 2018’s Convention Exclusives will include Lieutenant Arex and Lieutenant M’Ress. These ornaments will be sold as a set of two with a retail of $40.00. They will be a limited run of 2800.
Look for our animated crew members at San Diego Comic-Con (July 19-22, 2018), Official Las Vegas Star Trek Convention (August 1-5, 2018), and New York Comic Con (October 4-7, 2018).

You’ll have to wait a little longer to see what is inside the 2018 Dream Book from Hallmark but while you’re waiting here is a sneak peek of the cover.

CBS created a merchandising line based around Star Trek caricatures named “Quogs”.

The new designs, previously seen at the GoAnimate site and with some Funko figures, are part of a much bigger push to create a new line of Star Trek merchandise that will appeal to a broader audience with what CBS are calling ‘a fresh and accessible look.’ The proprietary animated art style applied to the classic TOS characters and settings will be extended to multiple Trek licensees and products beginning with Gluck (watches), Funko (vinyl figures), Trevco (t-shirts), Hallmark (greeting cards), and more.

The 16th Annual Las Vegas Star Trek Convention began yesterday and we got our first preview of 2018’s “The Naked Time” ornament.
A complete schedule is available to see what is in store at this year’s event.
A limited number of this year’s Battle Damaged Enterprise C will be available each day.

Trekcore has revealed the first 2018 Hallmark Star Trek ornament and it is “The Naked Time”! The preview was seen at this week’s Star Trek Las Vegas.
You may remember in August of 2016 “The Naked Time” had the best odds of being converted into an ornament at 3:1. See what else was was on our list of most likely ornaments!
What else will 2018 bring from Hallmark? A U.S.S. Discovery perhaps? Possibly a Deep Space Nine ornament to celebrate its 25th Anniversary? We will see.
