We sit here in December and still have no official announcement of the 2021 Hallmark Star Trek ornaments. The ornament previews usually are presented at the fan conventions beginning in July but COVID-19 has barreled its way into everyone’s lives disrupting everything.
The current plan is to have all of the Star Trek Storytellers releases from 2020 and 2021 to be available through 2022 until the complete line has been released.

Bring your Magic Keepsake Ornaments to life with more power, more excitement and more fun! This special cord powers up to 7 ornaments or accessories. Works only with Keepsake Power Cord ornaments from 2017 and newer. This cord is required for our interactive Storytellers collections (ornaments each sold separately).
—-————————————————————
Oohs and aahs abound when a Magic Cord is around. Each cord powers up to seven 2010-2020 Magic Cord Christmas ornaments—or six ornaments and a tree topper. Connect up to three Magic Cords for bigger displays. Ornaments each sold separately.

Bring light, motion, music and other sounds back to your vintage Keepsake Magic Ornaments. This convenient cord will power up to four Keepsake Magic Ornaments produced in 2009 and earlier.
Every year, collectors anxiously await the release of Hallmark’s next Star Trek Keepsake ornaments. The first Star Trek Hallmark ornament was the original USS Enterprise NCC-1701 in 1991. Since then, Hallmark has produced at least one Star Trek ornament with lights and sound every year, as well as some without the bells and whistles. And with Christmas two months away, it’s time to start thinking about the holidays.
For 2020, the folks at Hallmark have outdone themselves. Not only are there 3 new Star Trek Keepsake ornaments, there’s also a large tree topper, and all are themed around the classic episode “Mirror, Mirror,” And together, they tell a story, for real.

Star Trek: The Experience, which opened in January of 1998, was operated by the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. The attraction included a Deep Space Nine-style Promenade, a Quark’s Bar-inspired restaurant, the Klingon Encounter and Borg Invasion 4-D rides. After Cedar Fair and CBS Consumer Products could not come to an agreement, it was announced that the attraction would shutter. A closing ceremony was held on September 1, 2008.

More about Star Trek: The Experience.
Below is a list of ornaments, tree skirt and stocking sold at Star Trek: The Experience…

It is not often we come across overlooked Star Trek ornaments but that seems to be the case this week. A big “thank you” to our reader, Rob, for discovering these non-Hallmark ornaments when they appeared on eBay this week. It appears to be a collection of Star Trek ornaments that were sold at Star Trek: The Experience, officially licensed by CBS Studios.
We have long known about the Starfleet Command/United Federation of Planets ornament and it appears often on resell sites. What was once thought to be a one off stamped metal ornament now appears to be at least a series of five that were sold at Star Trek: The Experience between 1998 and 2008.
NOTE: Dimensions come from seller’s eBay description. We have included the prices the ornaments were sold for because of their rarity. All ornaments were sold on 10.15.20.
CBS Studios Star Trek Ornament – Starfleet Command, United Federation of Planets, 3 1/2” high, $19.95.
CBS Studios Star Trek Ornament – The Experience, Las Vegas Hilton, 3 1/2” wide, $60.00.
CBS Studios Star Trek Ornament – United Federation of Planets, 2 5/8” wide, $32.05.
CBS Studios Star Trek Ornament – Starfleet Academy, 3” on each side, $35.55.
CBS Studios Star Trek Ornament – Klingon Insignia, 3” x 3 1/4”, $36.55.

It now comes as no surprise that 2020’s last convention has been cancelled due to COVID-19. As Kevin Dilmore said last month the Vegas convention was 2020’s most likely remaining event to show the 2021 Hallmark Star Trek ornament previews. Kevin, if you’re reading, we would like to offer this site as a vehicle to announce Hallmark’s 2021 Star Trek ornaments.
Here is Creation Entertainment’s official announcement:
During this pandemic crisis, Creation Entertainment remains steadfast in keeping the health and safety of our attendees, celebrities and staff as our top priority. While we had hoped to present our Official Star Trek Convention on December 9-13, 2020, due to ongoing local, federal and international protocols, we are unable to do so.
We will be next returning again to our traditional time of year and will be back in Vegas on a new date: August 11-15, 2021 at the Rio All-Suites Resort Hotel and Casino, and its beautiful state-of-the-art convention center!
The year 2021 marks the 50th Anniversary of Creation Entertainment, the 55th Anniversary of Star Trek, the 20th Anniversary of our convention in Las Vegas and Gene Roddenberry’s 100th birthday year. It’s the perfect time to celebrate and no city is better than Las Vegas to do just that!
We are renaming the convention “Creation Entertainment Presents The 55-Year Mission Tour”. We’ll have over 100 celebrity guests as usual, multiple tracks of non-stop programming, contests, music, cosplay and surprises, plus partying galore. We’ll immerse our attendees into the positive and loving atmosphere with thousands of other fans, as we all celebrate Gene Roddenberry’s legacy. CBS is not an official partner of this event.
If you wish to hold your same reserved seat or general admission, you do not need to do anything. Your tickets and same seating will be transferred to the new 2021 date and updated tickets will be sent to you via the email address you used at the time of purchase within a few weeks. Your 2020 ticket will no longer be valid.

Hallmark’s Keepsake Ornament Debut arrives tomorrow and with it is 2020’s final Star Trek offering. Uhura is the latest ornament to join the Star Trek Storyteller family and will interact with any or all of the previous three Storyteller ornaments released in July. Look for Spock, Bones, Scotty and Chekov over the next two years.

Trapped in an angry universe not her own, Lieutenant Uhura tries her best to disguise from the I.S.S. Enterprise crew that she does not belong—unlike this Christmas ornament that certainly belongs on your tree. Plug the ornament into Hallmark’s Keepsake Power Cord (sold separately) for constant illumination, then press the button to start a sound and light show based on the classic original Star Trek series episode “Mirror, Mirror.” Connect all of the Star Trek Storytellers ornaments—Captain James T. Kirk, Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu and Lieutenant Nyota Uhura—and the U.S.S. Enterprise Tree Topper (each sold separately) to unlock additional interactive performances.

We normally get sneak peeks of Hallmark’s future ornaments in mid-July at San Diego Comic Con but like just about everything in 2020 it was cancelled.
In recent years September 8th, the anniversary of Star Trek’s television debut, has become Star Trek’s version of Star Wars’ May the Fourth celebration.
Star Trek Day seems to be a perfect opportunity for Hallmark to sneak preview the 2021 Hallmark Star Trek ornaments. Stay tuned!

But we still can’t wait to hang out with you online for New York Comic Con’s Metaverse, Oct 8-11. We’re partnering with YouTube to bring to life four days of incredible content. Stay tuned to FindTheMetaverse.com and subscribe to YouTube.com/NYCC for updates.”
