Additional information:
Before the arrival of James T. Kirk, the flagship of Starfleet was commanded by Captain Christopher Pike with a devotion to the values of the United Federation of Planets. Boasting a design that was introduced in “Star Trek: Discovery” and later appeared in “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” this U.S.S. Enterprise Christmas tree ornament lights up at the touch of a button (battery-operated).
Pros: Impressive turnaround—this ornament arrived in October 2022, just a few short months after Strange New Worlds premiered in May. It’s always exciting to see Hallmark respond so quickly to new Trek.
Cons: The dark striping on the saucer stands out too much and doesn’t match the sleeker look of the Strange New Worlds Enterprise. Most likely, Hallmark based the design on the Discovery version of the ship, which featured bolder, more contrasting paneling.
